The collaborative research center TRR 146:
Multiscale simulation methods for soft matter systems,
funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and hosted by the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, the Technical University Darmstadt, and the Max-Planck Institute for Polymer Research (Mainz) invites applications for:
2 PhD positions
starting October 1, 2014 or soon after, until positions are filled.
The center provides a stimulating research environment bringing together physicists, chemists, mathematicians, and computer scientists with a complementary expertise in a wide range of modeling methods. The initiative aims to tackle some of the most pressing problems in multiscale modeling of soft matter systems through a massive interdisciplinary effort at the level of fundamental science and algorithmic development.
