It also employs a large number of reputed scientists and researchers at its facilities in Bangalore, where scientists are engaged in multiple state of the art research wings like Skin Cleansing and Care, Hair Care, Substrate Sciences, Material Sciences and Delivery Systems, Chemical and Materials Sciences and Consumer and Sensory Sciences.

As a part of the project on developing next generation liquid cleansing compositions, complete understanding of the phase behavior of liquids and its effect of various environmental factors on the ultimate physical properties of fibre substrate such as hair needs to be developed. ITC is looking for a post-doctoral candidate in this area as per the following specifications:

Job Title:
Post Doctoral Research Fellow (Assignment Tenure – 12 months)

Education:
PhD (Surfactants, Polymers, Physical Chemistry or Fibre Science)

Work Experience:
Candidates who have worked on either of the following areas as a part of their project are preferred:
(i) silicones, (ii) deposition and rheology studies on hair (iii) surfactant behavior (iv) fibre sciences

Responsibilities:
(1) Build in-house expertise in characterizing different existing surfactant-polymer (S-P) spines
(2) Study the impact of S-P phase compositions and identify key parameters that impact spreadability, adsorption and rheology on keratin substrates.
(3) Arrive at an understanding of phase microstructure that would provide the best rheology, spreadability and optimum adsorption on the fibres.
